All Right Grace Life We Can Do This!

We have a fantastic opportunity to raise some funds for our Church and there is “0” out of pocket expense to us. We have partnered with Funds2Orgs to collect “gently worn, used and new shoes” to be repurposed across 24 countries the shoes collected from shoe drive fundraisers throughout North America get consolidated together and sent overseas to micro-entrepreneurs to start their own small business.

We officially start our Fundraiser August 1st and it ends October 1st but you can start right now collecting shoes. Here are some idea's to get the shoe's to meet our goal.

  1. Ask your friends and family to help by asking their friends and family.
  2. Ask your Neighbors.
  3. Get permission to but a receptacle in a local business.
  4. Help get the word out on social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc)
  5. A Community Drive.

If you are interested in helping us collect at your business or need us to come by and make a pick up give us a call at (863) 944-8430.  We can give you bags or boxes to collect with and will even pick it all up at the end of your collection drive.  Keep us in mind for your rummage sale leftovers, too.

All donated shoes will then be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of microenterprise partners in developing nations.  Funds2Orgs helps impoverished people start, maintain, and grow businesses in countries such as Haiti, Honduras and other nations in Central America and Africa. Proceeds from the shoe sales are used to feed, clothe, and house their families. One budding entrepreneur in Haiti even earned enough to send to her son to law school.

By donating shoes to Grace Life Family Church, the landfills will be less full, the shoes will be given a second chance, and the shoes will make a difference in people’s lives.

What's The Best Way To Properly Handle The Shoes?

The same hygiene for handling shoes collected in a shoe drive fundraiser applies as you would do with shoes you and your family wear. Always wash your hands thoroughly after touching shoes that have been used or worn outside. If you wish, while bagging, wear disposable gloves and, as always, wash your hands.

The Impact of Your Hard Work is Real?

The shoes collected after your shoe drive fundraiser become an economic lifeline for individuals and families living in developing nations. Due to systemic poverty, lack of education, and economic opportunity, Funds2Orgs works with individuals who create micro-businesses, essentially small businesses. The shoes collected in countries such as the United States get repurposed. That is, they get a longer life and are sold to micro-entrepreneurs for a small cost. Micro-entrepreneurs then mark-up the shoe price and sell them in their local communities for a fraction of their original price, but still for a profit!
